Welcome to my web page. My name is Alex. If you were a native of Northeast Missouri back in the 1990's You may have called into my BBS  "The Cave". I had a lot of fun with that and this web site is my effort to recreate a little bit of that magic. I collect various things I find interesting and put them here. 

 I like to cook (and also eat) and if you do too then check out some of my Recipes. 

Another interest I have is in photography. I have some photos posted in the Photo Gallery. Many are primarily of interest to my friends and family. However there is some variety including stereoviews which are a specialty of mine. The cloud logo above is another example of my work.

I am an advocate of the linux O.S. You will find some howto's and notes on doing different things in linux. In fact linux is the topic I discuss in my Blog. 

I am also an amatuer wine and beer maker. A log of my efforts is documented in the Wine Log and there is a step by step illustration of my methods of Beer making too.
